Yes Bill,
I am too skeptical. I think it's time for a vacation break! I had been expecting a slowdown in spending all year. And now that some reports are indicating it; I am skeptical of it being real. The spending verses retail sales verses expenditures verses imports verses M3...etc. are just not adding up for me. My guess is the shorter term reports are being effected or not adjusted appropriately by seasonal adjustment factors. Auto sales appear to be starting off slow in this transition period, etc. I am looking for something real. Yesterday's trade report did not seem like it. Too many cross currents to set a course by.
