The whole world is about to fall apart and a "CEO" is worried about integrity?

I had a similar reaction to the story. If the scenario is real, then Mr. CEO must be agonizing over his options. What a terrible position to be in!

What doesn't quite ring true to me is that someone with such a strong sense of moral responsibility would end up choosing the integrity of a business commitment over human lives. More likely, the choice to respect the business commitment would be based on concern for his professional reputation, pension, and assets. If he's most concerned about those things, he can't really expect TEOTWAWKI, which would obviate the relevance of everyone's pension, assets, etc.

Today's news from the other camp--a President's Council report that 911 will be iffy going into the new year.
