Midway Games and shockwave.com announced November 10 that classic Midway arcade games will be available for play exclusively on www.shockwave.com, the popular new entertainment on the Web.
Using shockmachine, an innovative virtual device, consumers will be able to download, save and play fullscreen, Shockwave versions of some of their favorite Midway games with a play experience identical to that of the arcade.
According to Media Metrix, since its launch in late July, shockwave.com has quickly emerged as the web's number two dedicated game site and number three animation site, already registering over five million members.
