November 9, 1999 Canadian Dealing Network Symbol: OROP #99-03 NEWS RELEASE Oroperu Resources Inc. (CDN:OROP) (The Company) and Pan American Silver Corp. have received notice from Battle Mountain Gold Company terminating its option to purchase the Tres Cruces gold property. The Tres Cruces gold property is owned equally by Oroperu and Pan American Silver Corp. The December 1998 - December 1999 Battle Mountain work commitment of US$2,500,000 was completed. A total work expenditure of US$4,100,000 exclusive of the initial US$600,000 payment was made. The results of this work will be provided to Oroperu and Pan American by the end of 1999. Further progress on the property will be evaluated after reviewing the technical information. The Company's currently issued and outstanding share capital is 33,816,463 common shares.
