The new economy and Wall Street.

Wall street is the financial center of USA. In the new economy, Wall street provide some of the equity financing that this country needs. FEDS provide the liquidity and bank financing for the economy. But, Wall street by using their analysts; actually projects or rather plans the public companies futures. The economy is now much better controlled than in the 1980s; because of the tight earnings projections, Wall street is now planning. Companies are now fixed up by Wall Street using management personnel with proven experience, mergers and acquistions, reengineering back to core business, and, of course, equity refinancing.

Will this technique from Wall Street ever spread to main street. It only takes more private companies to meet SEC rules to join the financial world on Wall Street. Or more accounting companies will have to provide more management consulting for private companies.
