We will have to agree to disagree on this one. I think the issue is that they asked Program Managers and Developers to do this task and they did something expedient ( using two machines to demonstrate multiple issues) which is done regularly for trade shows and demos. I think this was an honest attempt and really was grandstanding by the gov't plus an attempt to get people to believe that Microsoft can't be trusted. Seems to have worked for you. IE in the OS is a very solid combination - no more help compilers, web style navigation in all views, Web infrastructure for other companies to utilize among many others.
