Hi Jim:

Only one quick comment on your last post. Rain fade
does not affect transmission at MMDS frequencies.
On the other hand, it is a factor at LMDS type
of frequencies: 24, 28 and 38 Ghz). The main concern
for VOFDM is whether it can really overcome lack of
line of sight in urban environments with major
obstructions. Presumably CSCO must have done some
extensive testing.
