To All,
Re: News Releases - Wednesday, November 10, 1999 Drilling To Commence On Larne Licence, N. Ireland
Mr. Ian Rozier, President is pleased to announce that drilling operations on three holes are expected to commence on the Larne Licence in N. Ireland on November 12th, 1999. CVL has a 25% interest in the Larne Licence where Antrim International are the operators.
The three holes on the 350 square kilometer Larne Licence are geared to the evaluation of the Sherwood Sandstone series of southeast/northwest trending basins, which have hosted the 365 million barrel Wytch Farm field, the 7 t.c.f. Morecambe Bay gas find, as well as the Liverpool Bay oilfields with original recoverable reserves of 400 million barrels. Hydrocarbon shows, carboniferous source rocks, seal rocks and large fault bound structures will be evaluated.
The Company anticipates announcing the spudding of the Semhari East #1 well on the Hassi Bir Rekaiz block in Northern Algeria in the very near future; ARCO is the operator, see News Release dated October 27th, 1999. The Company also anticipates announcing a spud date for the Ekho #1 well in southern California shortly.
CVL is also active in Australia, New Zealand and in the U.K., and has sufficient funds to finance all these work programs without the need for additional financing.
