Hey John, i'm just saying that A/W will announce when SGI rolls out their NT box. A/W mgmt. says " the official line is just the render" " the full app on NT won't ship til the end of the year" BTW i see that SGI pulled that press release after Kevin Turesky realized what a strange piece of corporate communication it was, and users started asking questions. i agree with you that good old IRIX boxes are the real Joy, but hey i'm shure SGI is wheeling and dealing with Microsoft. Gates is not a philanthropist. SGI needs some of his toys too. for real world render specs check out adl.co.uk an R10K Indigo2 is 95% as fast as an Octane, at half the price. will this change? and what's your guess on a ship date for MAYA? April 98' or will it really ship this year? will A/W honor all those sales promises of "buy PA now, and you'll get Maya free when it ships this year"? what's the spin? thanks, vincent
