Let's take guns out of the argument and focus on why we are such a violent society. If one looks at murders worldwide that are NOT gun related, the U.S. is still by far the most murderous society in the industrialized world. If we don't address the root causes of our society's violence, it doesn't matter either way whether guns are controlled.
