(NASDAQ:EMLX - news), a leader in fibre channel technology and products, Wednesday announced that it will demonstrate the industry's first 2Gb/s fibre channel hub at Comdex. The Emulex hub is the first SAN element to operate at this higher data rate and is a key enabler for planned 2Gb/s Storage Area Networks (SAN). The hub used in the demonstration is based on Emulex's patented digital ASIC technology and is the basis of planned Emulex hub products.
