Bert McComas' article of DDR vs. RDRAM (taken from the AMD thread):

inqst.com

The article compares the performance of Micron's upcoming DDR SDRAM north bridge against that of the 820 chipset w/ PC800 RDRAM. It should be noted that the Micron system is on an "early development board based on first silicon." It is unknown when this chipset will hit the market.

The bad news: Bert McComas sees a "consistently measurable performance advantage for DDR over RDRAM." This will no doubt be used by the anti-Rambus coalition in their continuing efforts to topple the Rambus bandwagon.

The not-so-bad news: It is unclear what Micron has planned for their DDR chipset, i.e. how it will be marketed, who manufactures it, which motherboard makers will adopt it, etc. It brings up an interesting time-to-market concern, since we all know that, despite all of the hoopla over DDR, it's still going to appear some time after RDRAM.

By the way, Bert McComas has historically been rather negative on Rambus. Not once have I seen him write anything positive on RDRAM. However, having met and talked with him personally at Microprocessor Forum back in September, I find him to be a very intelligent man and less one-sided than his articles would suggest. Amist all of the anti-Rambus FUD, I take information from Mr. McComas' very seriously (with some exceptions, of course).
