The decline over this last week has been pretty much 3/16 per day on relatively low volume. The "big boys," who certainly heard the news before the press releases hit the wire, appear to be holding for the most part.

We'd be fools to take this lawsuit lightly; but as someone said earlier, lawsuits are part of doing business in this country. From what I can tell BD is feeling its oats after winning the judgement aginst CellPro (which has yet to appeal) and is stalking for more prey. Unfortunately, anything can happen in a court, regardless of the "merits" of the suit. However, QDEL and BD will most likely reach some settlement that will probably have marginal impact on QDEL's expenses.

We need to keep a sober focus on this situation, and I don't want to appear to be cheerleading... But for those prone to sticking their necks out a little further, QDEL looks like a screaming buy at 3.
