<You can get hurt with without any design. It's their size and strength plus being up high.>

Yep,... I was just thinking about that when I was out for a drive today. Most of the times when I've been hurt by a horse, it wasn't an intentional thing... One of the worst was when I had a big Clydesdale-Thoroughbred heavy hunter trip and fall on me when we were just hacking down the side of a gravel road. He was something like the modern day equivalent of a medieval war horse... massive...the ground would practically boom like thunder under him when we we cantering across a field. Rock steady horse that never would have hurt a fly. But this one day, he just stumbled on who-knows-what and fell to his knees, then his muzzle hit the gravel and when I saw his neck bend under as his forehead hit the road, I knew I was in big trouble... I tried to jump free to one side and almost made it, but he rolled in my direction and pinned my leg under him.... wrecked my ankle up, but didn't break it... embedded big chunks of gravel into my leg from my foot up to my hip... but it could have been worse...

...gave me plenty of respect for something that is 10 times my weight...
