Based upon your response I think I should add some clarification to my comment. I need to cut down on the threads/companies I follow so I can spend more quality time on those that matter most.

Gemstar's first defacto standard was in video recording which is recognized as such in 40 countries including the US. In such Gemstar has many hundreds of established relationships with broadcasters, publishers and CE OEMs in these markets. My reference was is regards to the existing business infrastructure and was not intended as meaning that their IPG is operational in 39 foreign countries at present.
