Ambrym,

<<At this point you have a good chance of being correct. I hope it works out good for you.>>

The risk-reward looks good to me. Unfortunately, I believe Qdel would have been bought out....were it not for the poison pill and possibly other factors (unknowns). Qdel may still be bought out. We do not know what talks are occuring. I believe however, that the eventual outcome will be favorable to Qdel. Reasoning: I doubt a large co would destroy a small co over $ in associated with patents which may be covered by existing agreements. It is much more likely that, at worst, Qdel will have to re-negotiate a patent sharing agreement. Eg: Look at AMD vs INTC suit which went favorably to AMD.

I havn't purchased more yet; I am holding my Qdel. I expect strong earnings. Actually, any + earnings are very favorable. Lets hope for 1) good earnings and 2) a speedy conclusion to the patent suit.

The market is weak for small stocks now; I plan to wait to buy more Qdel into strength. Since I have seen this type of market many times over the years, I can say that with confidence that this is a reversible situation. Timing is unknown; holding periods are variable. All of course is IMHO.
