ALL: Can someone tell me what Gates is talking about when he talks about MSFT innovating. What have they innovated? What am I missing?

They have borrowed, stolen, bought, but innovate, not? Maybe he means innovative marketing.

I'm getting a little tired of Gates talking about all this MSFT innovation when other companies have done orders of magnitude more innovation (i.e. SUNW ATT AAPL XEROX LU CSCO, you name it).

Maybe I'm ignorant, but can someone explain to me what Gates means by innovation. Or is this just "spin" talk?

BELLEVUE, Washington--Microsoft chairman Bill Gates told shareholders the company would "go a long way" to address government concerns over its monopoly status--though Microsoft's ability to innovate isn't negotiable.
