The book you described sounds very similar to the ones I sent my parents for Christmas two years ago (via Shalom's suggestion), although the two I sent aren't as extensive with regard to family trees and photos.

I wanted to share something from my mother's book which I found quite humorous especially since it seemed to describe my grandfather's lack of patience which I was quite aware of most of my own life while he was still alive.

Question: Tell about a special outing you took with your mother or father.

Answer: "One time Dad took us fishing. He had a jar of dried livers, and one of us (Mom or her only sibling sister) hit it with our foot and it rolled into the river. He wasn't very happy about that and we never went fishing again."

The names of the two books I gave were "Reflections from a Mother's Heart" (ISBN: 0-8499-5215-8) and "A Father's Legacy" (ISBN: 0-8499-5275-1)

Mother's book was by far the most interesting as Dad seemed to think his memories weren't all that interesting to relate.
