Where are all the Libertarians, shouting self-sufficiency? Maurice is right: cell-phones have saved lives. They have also led to people being called out because others were inadequately prepared. Hang on a minute AJ. Libertarians don't say people should be self-sufficient. They say one shouldn't expect free service from other people. Of course Libertarians like to be fully socially integrated with a big and efficient economic system. They don't want their taxes used to pay for dumb people who get lost in a forest. The easy answer is for rescue services who get the Mayday Globalstar call to give the caller a quote for rescue. Competing rescuers could bid for the business. That's Libertarianism! Or they could pay an insurance fee beforehand. Stuff like that. You sold? Heck! I hope you didn't sell Q! too. Mqurice
