This item is probably better suited for the Linux thread, except for the last line.
It talks about Caldera delaying it's IPO, which at this point looks to have been a mistake for Caldera, with all that's going on with the M$ FoF. Caldera has been the "Linux IPO" I've been waiting for. Corel has been my favorite (non-SUNW) choice as a Linux position, and is mentioned in a heartening way here.

The more hours that tick by since the FoF, the better value Corel appears.
IMO
Incidentally, RedHat is buying Cygnus?

Apparently, this is causing a lot of turmoil at Triangle Park NC at RedHat central. This is interesting for us, because it says that RedHat's billions want a Win32 interop franchise really bad, and may be anticipating jumping on the opportunity of a "Publish" (the freakin' Win32 code) order from the U.S. Govt.
That's particularly interesting to us because we (Corel) have the "desktop" (Linux) OS with the most to gain from ascended Win32 ineterop. Also, we have a working relationship with Cygnus in the short term and with WINE (free) in the long term. Along with WINE and Cygnus, OUR guys (Corel engineers) are the *best in this department.
I like it.
