Duke, I thought Larry Kudlow was a breath of fresh air when he came on CNBC as an offset to Bill Wohman.. Bill is such an obvious apologist for Big Government that the contrast was refreshing.
In the post you have so kindly provided, however, Larry is making a bunch of assertions that are historically inaccurate, as regards the past -- and demonstrably false in the current matter. His assertion, for example, that anti-trust action is destructive and that the consequences will ripple through the economy ---What!?? Since DoJ went after MSFT, we have never seen such a boom in the economy -- the rate of growth is higher even than it was under Reagan, the market for tech stocks is soaring... The evidence indicates that Larry is just full of it on this one... I am most disappointed in him -- I would have expected better.
To his credit, he does warn against Government re-regulation in other areas. But even there, where he warns us against "regulatory changes" regarding satellites....well, that change is the one that allows providers to offer local channels --quite a DE-regulatory change, and one Larry should embrace.
Larry's diatribe in this instance is just not befitting his position on CNBC.... I would rather have Bill back than have a pack of unfounded assertions be forward in place of evidence, logic and reason. Free enterprise needs all the friends it can get. I hope Larry will do better in the future.
