To all: I received a call today from a fellow PLAT holder who expressed concern about the negative tone of this thread.

To anyone coming to this thread for the first time with the aim of learning more about PLAT, it must seem, er, different than most other SI threads.
Not always illuminating stuff, a little clique-y perhaps, maybe more fun than many acrimonious long vs short battle-ground threads, yet not just a bunch of insipid cheerleaders.

So, why do we all seem so down on the stock?
I think we're for the most part bulls, who would like to see the stock price closer to its true value (AND give Flip an atomic wedgie out of frustration).

Is the negativity here a sign of a bottom?
(Or will the bottom only come when TED sells? <g>)
Some other threads have given great buy signals by their total silence (e.g. VLSI, KLIC last year).
I don't think we'll see silence here unless the stock goes much lower. And I'll bet a month of Dave's salary that if the stock goes below $10, we'll see single digits.

My personal opinion is still bullish. There are several excellent posts by Richard, David and others in the last few months that make a good case for investing in PLAT.

I think that case is still valid.

With the aim of injecting some positive news, I offer the following mysterious tidbit:
My shop is undertaking a serious evaluation of a big-ticket PLAT product (non-y2k related). Sorry, can't say more.

BTW, whatever happened to the MSFT thing? Did I miss it?
