DLO: I agree with this post except that the DOJ and the states already in heat over the smell of the judge's arbitrary and one sided findings of "fact" will not accept a reasonable proposal. If they do I would be the first to admit I was wrong. But the concessions have to be such that the government isn't invited in as hovering supervisor of the software industry. That caveat makes for a situation wherein the best solution is for an overturn at Appeals. JFD
