From the Globe and Mail by Lawrence Surtees Telecommunications Reporter Nortel considering cutting up to 1,000 jobs next year. Company president also says fiber-optics business could hit $10 Billion U.S. in 2000 "But Nortel's boss also to an analysts' conference that the company's booming fiber-optic business could hit $10 billion U.S. or about half of total sales - during the next calendar year."...
