John, I'm not concerned about the eps number that DELL will report. As already discussed 19 cents is probably the low end number whereas I'm expecting 20 cents. However, based on what I hear, the revenue number must reflect a minimum 40% growth yoy. Anything under $6.8b will be viewed negatively. And, this is where I have concerns. My calculations point to between $6.8 & $6.9 b in revenue this quarter. This reflects the IDC number - approximately 3.250 million units - and an ASP of $2100 per unit. The ASP reflects a 3% sequential decline - consistent with previous quarters.

The ASP number is the only unknown in the equation and any greater than normal price erosion [i.e., less than $2100 ASP]will hurt the top line number. Let's hope DELL has been able to contain price erosion this quarter.

Regards, Gabriel
