I called Samex (Jamie Punt) this afternoon and asked a bunch of questions. He was quite frank and helpful with his responses.

1) Concerning financing:
they have about $1M in the bank and hoping to raise another 2 million or so to fully fund their 1997 drill program. Financing is being discussed with 3 possible groups (probably some type of warrant).

2) Drilling is ongoing (i forget the project name).

3) a news release is expected in 2-3 weeks concerning the ground program at the walter prospect.

The real test now is to see if this company can get the additional funding...
