THQ Ships Disney/Pixar's ''Toy Story 2'' for Game Boy Color
Sequel to 1995 Hit will Launch in Conjunction with Major Motion Picture
CALABASAS HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 11, 1999--THQ Inc. (Nasdaq:THQI - news) today announced, in collaboration with Disney Interactive Inc., the release of Disney/Pixar's ''Toy Story 2'' for Game Boy® Color.
Launching in conjunction with Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios' highly anticipated feature film ''Toy Story 2,'' Disney/Pixar's ''Toy Story 2'' for Game Boy Color will be available at major retail outlets nationwide for the suggested retail price of $29.95.

In Disney/Pixar's ''Toy Story 2'' for Game Boy Color, kids of all ages take on the role of the movie's familiar hero, Buzz Lightyear, as he sets out to rescue his toy-napped pal, Woody, from the clutches of a greedy toy collector. Equipped with a disk launcher arm attachment, jet-pack and the ability to send laser attacks, Buzz Lightyear can explore 11 action-packed levels of gameplay, including two bonus levels. Players can save their games through a password system. Brand new characters from the feature film such as the Prospector, Bullseye and Jessie appear in the Game Boy Color title, along with characters from the original ''Toy Story'' film, including Rex, Hamm and the Aliens.
THQ will fully support Disney/Pixar's ''Toy Story 2'' for Game Boy Color with an integrated marketing push, including advertising in both gaming and consumer publications such as Nintendo Power, N Gamer, Disney Adventures, Sports Illustrated for Kids, Boys' Life and Kid City. In addition, Nintendo kiosks will be set up at various retail outlets spotlighting the game through January 2000 including an extensive Toys 'R Us promotion. Working with Disney and Pixar, THQ is also participating in cross-promotions including advertising inserts in Disney credit card mailers and contests.
