Hi Curtis - I think you ask the wrong people. Well, let me back track <G>, there are probable technie in our midst, but I for one am not. I must apologize I misunderstand your 1st post, when you proclaimed OI[E] is a non sequitur, which led me to believe [alas erroneously, on my part] that you knew what it is.
Anyway, a name is a name. These days, everyone wants to use a fantastic name, Nortel notwithstanding. Since you are in the field, maybe you can inquire with your colleagues - or even friendly competitors, to see if there is any meat to it. But personally I wouldn't want to get bog down by a name. After all, there are many softwares out there called universal-this or universal-that, they are obviously not universal in an absolute sense. Just my gut feeling
