Jim,

You are right, my remark was actually a cheap shot but is based on my presumption you are a bright guy who only wants to see it his way. If you can't see the brilliance of JINI and JAVA and SOLARIS and SPARC and MAJC (to name a few technologies), or a $1.5 billion R&D budget, or a great corporate marketing strategy, than you leave me speechless. One of Forbes lead articles was to coin Bill Joy as the "EDISON of the INTERNET" and Scott to smuggly comment "AT&T had Bell Labs, we have Bill Joy"-- I guess you don't want to see the point.

Innovation doesn't occur in a vacuum. There are many precedent technologies SUNW has had to draw upon just as Einstein had to draw upon Newton,-- BUT THEY HAVE AND ARE PUTTING IT TOGETHER IN A CREATIVE AND UNIQUE WAY SO AS TO EXPAND THE CAPABILITIES AND BUILD A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE FOR DISTRIBUTED INTERNET COMPUTING.

I presume no arguement I would make would alter your opinion, nor that of Twister or Jim Nicoll. But if in fact you are open to acquiring a better understanding than I suggest start by reading some of SUNW's white papers on Jini or MAJC technology. Even better, if your interest is solely one as an investor, listen to the shareholder meeting that Scott presided over yesterday. It is truly a great 1hr and 40 minute discussion of a great company and where it is going. I truly believe this is one of the greatest companies in the history of the world and we ain't seen nothing yet.

All the best,
Michael
