The url for the US patent office is uspto.gov:80/ This is where I did my search. I don't know if other patents are pending, or how complete the patent office's internet data is. I can't tell you what updating bit allocations etc, means in layman's terms, since I am myself a layman in this technology, and am learning. Sorry if I gave the impression of more knowledge than I have--but can someone else supply the answer? How important is Amati's patent? I am out of this stock right now as it appeared over bought,but am looking for another entrance as I find out more about it.
