Frank Thank you for the article on Quest. And reading it I have to wonder what happened to the great bandwidth glut of earlier this summer. My quick read of the Quest article is that demand (if only counting the paying customers to which you allude) is growing much faster then supply.

Having been on the road for a few days (I hate it when work intervenes), I have not keep up with my NGI I2 reading. I did have the pleasure of a business pitch from a BroadBand ISP wanna-be who was touting the bandwidth needs that interactive video and telephony will have. This struck a sympathetic note in me regarding the characteristics of future broad band telephony demands (QoS, type, speed,..), the type of related services which will be needed (web hosting, secure data centers, true AI search engines) and the optimal industry structure (integrated or not). Another stop on my travels highlighted the benefits of the 90's co-location trend in the "Tower Industry". These are the sale/lease back players who buy and lease the radio and PCS towers to the major carriers. I think CO-LO and integration will be the trends of 2000+. Well I can still hope (Come-on Mr Winnick poney up and buy MFNX)!

During my absence from the board, I have been very surprised by the continued strength of the telephony sector. Investors of all sorts continue to raise cash and deploy it in the sector.).
