John,

I couldn't disagree more strongly with your statement.

Yes, on average, the sector moved up. I haven't seen any move anywhere near as strongly upward as MTSN on a % basis.

On the CYMI thread, Jay Dreifus has posted a SSB report re AMAT's presentation at the Boulders conference. AMAT's outlook is for a $30-$40B Semi Equipment market.

While AMAT is almost certainly unreasonably optimistic, that is more than double today's market and far above the predicted growth.

The TSMC announcement for $80B NT approved by their board for new fabs is MTSN specific news (along with a few other equipment companies).

Yes the outlook for the sector has improved this week. And MTSN's short, mid and longterm outlook has improved much more dramatically. Which isn't hard given that it's starting from annual revenues of less than $100M and AMAT is starting from about $5B.

JMHO,
Ian.

The whole sector gapped up this morning. I don't think it is anything company-specific.

P.S. Doug B., I sure hope you're continuing to ignore everything I post. Since your declaration, MTSN's price has moved very strongly. :-)
