Mike, I understand all too well what you are trying to say..but you are in an arena, filled with people from every walk of life.. and most of us have a very similar background..Edwardas comments about her uncle who just died sort of explains the way people interrelate.... (see the feelings thread) I also understand your grandfathers plight..quite well. However may I point out to you that the hard work of your grandfather and mine was to insure that their descendants did not have to do the menial work they had to endure. 70 hour work weeks in our era has no comparison to those of yesteryear.. I would not venture a guess as to how many hours my Children are working to make a difference for theirs..in the yuppie' world.. If you wish to see what the hard work of one young lady can do.. see the web sites below ;-) She just organized the first Reverse Trade Mission with Mexico in the State of Florida..This is the latest in her ongoing list of Achievements..(bet she has her share of CC too ;-) (she won the Runnerup Award for Female Business Advocate of the Year in Florida) and she ain't "bellyaching" about the hours she worked..but they exceed 70 !!! (She has five brothers and sisters ;-) They are all achievers.. My late husband and I worked in excess of 70 to rear a family and when my children went to College..Mom returned too..see ' what one can do with some hard work and a little "bellyaching" So lighten up on the yuppies and let them bellyache a little too we are all entitled to it...You are in the middle of the Yuppie Kingdom in this Coffee Shop..slow down and take it easy. you will live a lot longer..and remember: A NATION DIVIDED WILL NOT STAND"..we are now divided in every direction and the White Upper Middle Class can be replaced !!!!!! When I see Bill Gates donate 1.5 Billion$ to the minority college fund..What is he saying??? When 60 minutes says we have a 25% index of foreign Dr's...I begin to wonder if the White Man will follow the Indians (who would not listen to their Elders) and lose control of this Country????
