NEC, Oracle, HP Tie on Internet Business Platform November 11, 1999 Business News Archives NEC Corp. said on Thursday that it, Oracle Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co. had agreed to jointly develop and market computer systems for electronic commerce to corporate customers. Their cooperation is part of a broad business tie-up in the Internet business. The partners will pool their technologies as well as existing hardware and software products to offer computer systems that allow companies to conduct a wide range of business transactions on the Internet, NEC said. The partners will also cooperate in promoting BIGLOBE, NEC's Internet provider business, for companies to use in electronic commerce operations.
