Who is talking quotas, Neocon? I understood -- correct me if I am wrong -- that your list was supposed to be of the most influential figures IN THE WORLD. Your world strikes me as being a very limited one.

Barry Gordy may be black, but I should like to point out that I am not into quotas, either. I just think any list of the people who have most influenced the WORLD of the twentieth century should include at least one figure NOT from the United States or Europe. (Turkey does not count, IMO, because it has one foot in Europe.)

Edit: As for Latin America, you don't have to pick a political leader. You might consider writers, for example. Borges, or Marquez. (Both at least as internationally influential as Chesterton, BTW.)
