The Sunday Times reported some time ago QXL.com would have a float of 750 million British Pounds (B.P.). That's US$1.215 billion (750 B.P. x 1.62 = US$1.215). If QXL has 22 million shares (5 million in the float) that works out to be US$55.00/share. I figured the British, being very conservative coupled with a bad week in the stock market when the IPO was to be offered, downgraded the IPO to US$16.00/share. So after their press release, it looks like this week we're moving up towards the original 750 B.P. I hope this is the original Sunday Times article. sunday-times.co.uk If this doesn't work, Blankmind has the original article in one of the posts here. A QXL question - if the Americans offered an IPO on this stock a few weeks ago at US$55.00/share, would it have doubled or tripled like most of the other Internet stocks on the Nasdaq?
