since December and currently have started two threads which I
follow very closely and keep active:

I am a new daytrader and am just beginning to use real-time quotes
and data. I have research tools at my disposal and would love to
interact with other members of SILICON INVESTOR who are interested in short term trading.
I would like for those of us in the category SHORT TERM TRADERS or
any other thread in SI to join a mIRC Undernet IRC channel
dedicated to all short-term traders.

RTtrades will be a chat room where Daytraders and short term
traders will exchange in REAL-TIME stock tips, real-time market
news, chart signals you might want to share in real time.
My chat site will not be associated with Silicon Investor (unless
they want it to) but I would like subscribers of SI to participate
there.

written in the SHORT TERM threads on SIlicon Investors or any
daytrades they are currently making. We encourage you to write the
quotes at the moment they happen.

Prerequisites are
real-time quotes, at least a basic knowledge of
technical analysis, a desire to daytrade at least at an amateur
level.
Able to do your homework and research stocks (i.e. sites on the
internet are replete with wonderful research tools)
Beginners are encouraged to watch and participate at a latter
time.
The site will be supervised by volunteers, myself being one of
them, and anyone that will want to join me in this endeavor. There
will be no free for all and we must stick to the topic at hand.
(ie. not general tips like "what do you think of INTC, MSFT, GEMS
etc")
Most of all there will not be the "cliquishness" associated with
some other sites on daytrading.
This chat room should provide a good foundation to work from when
picking stocks for daytrades.
