I learned a lot today from following the dialog between John and micny and the others that joined in. Both sides presented their arguments in a calm and well-reasoned fashion. What a difference from the posts on Raging Bull!

I am long and purchased again yesterday and failed to get my order filled at the close today. I have an order in for the open tomorrow. Read my posts knowing that I am an engineer and love technology for its own sake; I am a fan of General Magic. The technology is good, but I haven't the foggiest on the business plan. (I loved AOL in 1992 and lost my nerve in 1994, what a mistake.)

If the market gets crazy on this (bounces to 3 1/2 on no solid news within two weeks), I'll be gone. If it does a nice slow rise over the next year to 8, I hope to still be there.

I am long with 5500 at 2.01 cost. (I shorted once in my life, 1996, Yahoo. Ouch!)

How about raising travel expenses from the group here and sending John and micny to GMGC for an unofficial StockTalk meeting with Markman? I'll put up the first $500 - I'm serious. The only restriction is that prior to the trip Dr. Markman says he will spare fifteen minutes and Laura Crowley says the visitors will be given a one-hour tour.

Let's not get too upset about this whichever way it goes. It certainly is speculative, so we must live within our means.
