< Helen - How long do you wait to decide it's not going anywhere? For example, NETP today; hasn't done much since about 11 a.m., but supposedly has promise for tomorrow or Monday.>

My problem is exactly that - I can't tell where it's going. For example, I bought ITXC on IPO date, sold at the EOD, and watched it soar the following morning. Scalped PPRO for 2 points in September and watched it go up over 10 points after I sold. I've found myself selling way to early right before big moves and getting really upset. Then I would decide not to sell so fast and watched profits disappear.

Today, I bought CNQR at 30 1/4 soon after Kimberly posted it. I sold half at 33. It may sound nuts, but with some profit locked in, I don't feel like I have to sell immediately if it runs up. If it comes down, and I want to sell, I still have the profit.

I have found finding an entry point easier than closing a position. I try to buy on a dip - using 1 or 3 minute charts, but I am clueless about selling. Any help would be appreciated.

Helen
