Veeco's biggested customer in the news Seagate Maybe Purchased by Fujitsu, IBM, Business Week Says
Scotts Valley, California, Nov. 11 - Seagate Technology the world's biggest independent computer disk- drive maker, may be in talks to be bought by Fujitsu Ltd. for more than $55 a share, Business Week ..... citing unnamed investment sources. An offer from Fujitsu, whose disk-drive business is struggling, might prompt International Business Machines Corp. to bid. Seagate is undervalued, Brookhaven Capital Management Inc.'s Vince Carino told Business Week, putting the value of its cash and marketable securities alone at $10.2 billion, or $49 a share.
Seagate said Monday it plans to buy back as many as 50 million more shares, its largest buyback ever, and closed today at 34 15/16.
