Hello Paul,

I'm curious, from your perspective, what are the potential reasons why Novell is seeming to have such a problem attracting marketing talent?

It appears (and I believe) that the company is filled with sound technology, and a good set of products. They have a very capable development staff ...

I guess that what I can't figure out, is why a competent marketing person would not see the opportunity to join now, get a good bunch of cheap stock options, and make a bundle by wrapping a decent marketing pitch (with vision!) around products that can sell themselves?

Not fully understanding the dynamics of executive search and recruitement, is the market just that thin? Does Novell look that unattractive? I'm trying to evaluate how Novell pulls this out ...
