Greg, Maybe Stewy's analogy about the transmission in the car is correct when it comes to figuring out this Lucent puzzle.

Could it be that lucent develops and outsources the production to SDLI and/or JDSU.

I wish i knew more about this industry. Might start saving some analysis of the industry or go to one of those conferences.
