OT: Broadcom/8x8 and ETEL VoIP

Well, if they are using Broadcom's 3300,
they might be using 8x8's (not ETELs) chip
etc. because 8x8 did a reference design with
Broadcom a year ago for this feature (VoIP
over cable).

The big question is: is Broadcom's implementation
still using 8x8's technology or have they created
their own or used someone elses?

Unfortunately, neither company seems to talk
much about the nuts and bolts of the current
product, so it is tough to tell.
