i know the more time people can surf the net free of charge the better for qxl. i believe if they allow people a fixed rate per month, this would be very beneficial to isp's. certainly revs and users would increase vastly and be more predictable. this i believe would be far better than the current system of the free isp's receiving part of the money charged each minute the user is connected and banner revs.

the problem will come in trying to predict who will be the winners in offering the new service at a fixed price.

i think the recent announcements of fixed rate local calling and fixed price internet seems to be allowing for one to pick up a free net service that would benefit from todays doubts, such as xsni, at a bargain price who will have the name recognition in signing up subscribers to a fixed pay service.
