Just a mere thought of it may have a couple of points effect on AMD. It could really wipe out the shorts that haven't covered their short positions yet. Some how, I have an inclination that most of the shorts position holders are Intel stock holders. If true, it could have a very short term negative effect on Intel stock because they may have to dispose some of their Intel position to fund the AMD short covering. Also some funds transfer into AMD stock is possible through the disposition of Intel stock. What do you think? This is just to know about the mechanics that could take place in this kind of runups and this is not to spread any FUD about Intel stock. The AMD positive outlook also may encourage more infrastructure partners to join the Athlon Bandwagon - no?
