Loki: You reminded us of the stock-picking competition last year. I am not sure that your record of it is complete, but we can't be so bad if the aggregate return (minus COMPAQ) has been 75% over the year.

Let's have another. I am open to suggestion about the rules. I propose the following:

1. Competition to be effective as of midnight EDT on 15th November, 1999 and all entries to be recorded by then.

2. One stock per person and that stock must not be COMPAQ.

3. Entrants who would have selected COMPAQ as their first choice may enter it in parenthesis.

4. Winner is the stock which first achieves 30% appreciation from the closing price on 15th November, 1999.

5. Competitors should justify their selection with a brief explanation. (This should also be done for COMPAQ if it has been entered in parenthesis).

6. List can be maintained by anyone. (Cut and paste list, then add add new entrants, remember to use FIXED FONT).

7. Loki to track portfolio as he did last year.
