Margins hurt by 150% Dram increase and flat panel display availability, but going forward will adjust prices in line with component prices. IF prices of components go up, Dell won't be as competitive as in the past if it passes on increases while its competitors bought components in their inventory cheaper or if Dell gives its customers less (by the way I thought the customer chose the configuration-here Dell talks about putting less of expensive components in its computers-or is that the customers' rational choice-or would it be more rational to buy from a manufacturer who bought the component for less-and passed on the saving.)
