I was basing my comments on the June 17 Forbes article "Digital Octopus". There they mention that in the MMX processor they shall include modem functionallity. Upon doing some further research however I beleive that the threat to USRX may not be as severe as I suspected. The modem speed will be limited to 14.4 Kb, and it will create processor overhead...Hmm, I'm not sure however. If you buy a new pc that is so equipped, would you still go out and buy a USRX modem in order to get 33Kb. - I would but I'm not sure how the public at large will act.
