Herc,

Does anyone else have reservations about the "thin client" concept? Falling hardware and software prices along with unreliable internet service would seem to make it less viable.

Despite falling hardware and software prices, total cost of ownership remains enormous. And when it comes to unreliable Internet service, nothing is more unreliable than an unreliable LAN, WAN or Intranet that is always partially broken because there is always a percentage of the desk-tops computers that are always messed up. Thin-cliet computing won't be the solution to everyone's problems, but it is and will continue to be the solution at faster rates for enough people's problems to support a growing market for Citrix.

Just my opinion.
