The Crystalline acquisition will be an all-stock deal and will immediately increase Newsys' sales and profits, according to this morning's Ottawa Citizen. The financing is characteristic of CEO Quigg's thinking as expressed at the AGM - with this pooling of interests approach, there's no financing required (keeps the balance sheet clean) and no goodwill to be written off (avoiding a drag on EPS, quarter after quarter, for a couple of years). Very, very shrewd move - IMO.
